What: Join us for Art on the Beach - Community Competition!

When: This inaugural event is happening on Saturday, Aug 5th 2023 starting at 8:30 am.

Location: The venue is located at Roads End State Recreation Area on Logan Road in Lincoln City, Oregon.

Theme: Cascade Head Biosphere Region inspired art! Be an octopus, a crab, or something like upwelling in the ocean, all the sand art should reflect something in Oregon's UNESCO Biosphere Region and Marine Reserve at Cascade Head.

This is an incredible opportunity for artists of all levels to showcase their talent and creativity. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, this community competition welcomes everyone to participate and celebrate the Cascade Head Biosphere Region through sand art.

During the event, you'll have the chance to create your own masterpiece right on the beach. You will be working next to featured artist, Duncan Berry and his team of volunteer rakers who are creating a giant piece of sand art spelling out BIOSPHERE and bringing the life sustaining ocean condition of UPWELLING to light through a creative sand art design.

At the end of the competition, a panel of judges will evaluate the artworks and select the winners. Prizes will be awarded to the most outstanding pieces, so be sure to bring your A-game!

Who: You and up to three others! Grab your rakes, invite your friends, and join us at Art on the Beach - Community Competition.
